ABOUT ROB.
My name is Rob Shields, and I am the owner of British Dragon Soccer Academy.
I have coached in several different countries, including Jersey in the channel islands, Thailand, the USA, the UK, Vietman, and Cyprus.
I hold UEFA licenses, along with NVQ2 in sports and rec, first aid, child welfare, and teachers training certificates.
I played at a semi-pro welsh league level, when I first started to gain my coaching knowledge. I have just arrived back from Cyprus where I was delivering a GCSE programme in P.e, and running soccer and athletics programmes.
I have over 20 years experience and have worked with all ages and both genders. I have worked with the welsh U16, Cardiff city academy, and was head coach with Arsenal soccer schools in Vietman.
I have run fun soccer camps, and soccer programmes in all the countries listed above.
Whilst coaching in the USA, I was fortunate enough to have a coaching manual, DVD, and a CD compilation released on soccer coaching for all ages.
I was voted 'top coach' by the parents and students alike on the fun camps in the USA, and in Cyprus.
Due to my experience, I have gained great coaching knowledge and an excelent understanding of the beautiful game which I have passed onto literally thousands of children and teenagers over my coaching career.
